Novezza
An even more superb view of the Lake and its
surroundings are offered from Monte Baldo. A modern rotating 360 degree cablecar
ascends the mountain giving it's passengers a full view of Lake Garda. The station at the top end is 1800m above
Sea level and an
ideal starting point for hikes or mountain biking. The bottom station
has a covered parking area with spaces for 200 cars; from here there is easy
access to the embarking area, thanks to the lifts, which also serve the bus
terminal and eliminate all forms of architectural barrier.
Limone sul Garda
is home to the unique lemon houses,
which cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Thanks to the mild climate
this is the only place on Latitude 46 Degrees North where lemons and citrus
fruits can be grown.
The town of Limone sits on a narrow strip of land at the foot of the tall, rocky
cliffs north of the Riviera. Today Limone is one of the top tourist attractions
of Lake Garda but is still manages to keep it's authentic Italian charm while
being very affordable if your looking for a good
quality holidays.
Its picturesque, historic town centre, medieval homes, narrow cobbled streets,
and ports surrounded by green vegetation offer endless possibilities for
enjoyable, relaxing
hikes and strolls both inland and along the lake.

Riva Del
Garda
First to visit should be the Rocca, the imposing 12th century castle
fortification surrounded by water, used by the the Venetians, the Trentini, and
the Austrians in 1852 when La Rocca was used as a barracks and the four corner
towers were reduced to the same height as the main building.
Today
the Rocca has been transformed into the Museo Civico, which houses a
precious Gallery with a collection of frescoes, paintings, prints and sculptures
dating from the 16th to the 20th century. There is also an archaeology
section and an interesting collection of photographs illustrating the frescos to
be found in the churches, palaces and castles in the area, all dating from the
Middle Ages and the Renaissance period.
