Lake Garda
is the main Italian lake and one of the most important
water reserves in Europe.

Lake Garda or you can travel on one of the ferry services which run all year round.
To reach the beach from the main
piazza in Riva turn towards the
lake and follow the left path
past Hotel del Sole and continue
until you see the small
fortified building on its own
island (La Rocca). Continue to
follow this path along the
lakeshore until you pass a
series of wooden stalls selling
handicrafts, a restaurant and a
pedalo rental service. You will
find the beach over the wooden
bridge in front of you.
At the beautiful lake town of
Riva del Garda a short two minute
walk along the paved lake side
path will bring you to a long
stretch of smooth pebble beach,
it is a beautiful stretch of
beach you don't want to miss. Blue-green
mountains dip straight into the
lake at this end, and the beach
spreads out in a thin, but long
arc toward
Torbole
where you
will find many widsurfers and
sailing boats enjoying the cool
breeze which comes down from monte baldo.
Visit the old port of
Torbole
where you can enjoy some of the best
windsurfiing in Italy. There are many Surf rental
shops for beginers and experts. If it's just for a
relaxing stroll the charming old
streets of
Limone
and the castle a Roman Villa in
Sirmione
are two places you will want to add to your list of
places to visit.
On the southern shore, pointing out into Lake Garda, you
will find
Sirmione with its quaint cobblestone streets,
thermal baths, medievil castle, olive groves
and wide selection of hotels.
There is
also a thermal bath at Cola which is near Lazise called
villa Cedri.
