Garda lies two thirds of the way down this side of the lake, and is well noted for its historic centre. Around the lake you will also find castles, churches, sanctuaries, fortresses, palaces and museums. The town has much to offer the visitor, from days out on the lake, to days strolling along the promenade taking in some of the many lively cafés and bars that line the lakefront.
